Rock Me Out (Rhianna) Test performed by Andrea from Bella Bella Studio.

All dances performed are freestyle without any major limitations put on the dancers movements.

Recorded with 6 PS Eye cams.

Processed with recent update of iPi Studio 3 (3.3.8.204)

No manual clean up, only ran iPis Auto Clean, AMT on, screen recorded from iPi Studio 3 viewport.

Head tracked without Move controller, Hands with Move controllers.

No finger gestures added yet.

I do use a way to loop the animations now with iPi, not shown, because it needs further adjustment in an external editor to look correct, but it does work well.

Goodies Dance (Ciarra) performed by Andrea from Bella Bella Studio.

Test on a DAZ-3D G2 Female base character.

Used iPi to apply loop pose, edited with Ikinema Webanimate.

I use a specific work flow to be able to use these 3 programs together... iPi, Ikinema WA, and DAZ-3D

Test of a female conversation action.

Processed using very flex spine option, head tracked without Move, shoulders by video, using low res tracking speed.

A few quirks with the head, but easily corrected in post, but very good overall for slower motion.

Gimme More (Brittany Spears) Dance Test, Bachelor dance style performed by Andrea from Bella Bella Studio. (used a folding chair so she had a reference to dance toward).

Edited only with iPi tools at this point.

I am going to do a full looped edit and post it later, these are just to demonstrate what I get out of iPi with minimal work to start from, so post editing is fairly easy.

This is about the best I can get from iPi processing and slight internal editing, with the use of iPi auto-cleaning in a reasonable amount of time worrying with things, to this point took from start of tracking took a little over an hour.

Some issues are just from the test character used, happens a lot due to individual characters, so I don't worry with adjusting the characters arm length, or other parts to match before hand, not too many characters are the exact same, I know what's going on, so I can adjust things out in post reasonably enough for end users to be able to edit easily to fit their characters.

Note: If you use 3ds Max there will be more post editing needed than seen in this video, the biped doesn't perform as well with many animations as they do with actual bone skeletons, mostly in arm bone orientations, and I have tried every which way I could to remedy this on import, with no real success, except to manually fix those problem areas. (I would be interested to hear, or see, if anyone has got biped to work better for an unadjusted imported iPi BVH file).

So far this update is working well, with 3x the speed on jitter removal, so that's a plus.

(Processed with version update 3.3.9.205) Latest

Overall tracking and auto-clean has been working much better in recent updates, better shoulder tracking and hip tracking, not so much push on the hips.

Hot in Here (Nelly) & Run It (Chris Brown) Dance Test, performed by Andrea from Bella Bella Studio.

No editing outside of iPi tools, imported to FBX review for playback and screen recording.

Blips are from screen recorder, not in actual animation, common effect for these free screen recorders.

Finally fixed biped bvh import spinning upper arm issue.

On import dialogue box change the elbow orientation from point -to- angle and it will fix this spinning problem.

Any other small glitches you can just delete the full body keys, be sure to select ALL the biped bones and lock all 3 COM keys first.

You can delete up to 5 keys in a row and not even notice it in the animation blending, but you may only need to delete one key set to fix a bone pop.

(Ciara) Body Party Dance test video not looped.

Recorded using 6 PS Eyes.

Processed with current release of iPi Studio 3 using their ACP smoothing, then re-exported from Webanimate using their ACP smoothing.

I did very little clean up on either of these, this is basically how iPi tracks and smooths, but the little issues seen are easily fixed for final looped version.
