Good. Though some performance improvements were made in recent releases, they should not make a great difference. The specs you provided are more than enough for smooth iPi Recorder functioning. Just guess, maybe you had some other CPU-consuming activity at that time?

I get this error when I start up, but it seems other than that the program works okay

Will iPi Recorder 2.0 work with iPi Studio 1.0 or does it record to an un-usable format that only Studio 2.0 will be able to extrapolate?

I haven't had a chance to record in 2.0 yet but I believe it only saves the new .ipivideo format. Just curious but why would you want to use a Recorder 2.0 file in Studio 1.0?

Nope. iPi Recorder 2 produces records only in new iPiVideo format. iPi Studio 1 has no support for this format.

Unfortunately, we cannot yet test iPi Recorder on Windows Vista (I conclude you have this OS version by your posts in another topic http://forum.ipisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=11330#p11330). We will try to address this issue in the next update coming by this weekend.

Ok, thanks for the note on the posts btw.

At this time I can launch and use IpiRecorder 2.0 but I can't launch IpiStudio 2.0013.
And yes, it maybe be vista but I can't really upgrade this machine at the moment to Win7 or possibly 8 while im in the middle of another production. Trust me I would love to :)

I noticed on the download page that there is only one Recorder listed. Is this the one I need to download for use with the current version of iPi Studio then?

(BTW, running Windows Vista 64 on this laptop with 2 USB 2 Controllers)

You need to download from the Beta page: http://ipisoft.com/V2_0_beta.html

They always have the latest version posted there. After I download a new version, I archive it in a folder with the version number so I can rollback if I need to.

(Is rollback built into the program now? Sorry, I haven't checked.)

There are two separate download pages. The main downloads page lists installers for v1 which is still selling. The beta downloads page lists installers for v2, which is currently in beta.

No. But we save all the released v2 installers. Later, we'll create wiki page where one could download an installer for any specific v2 release if he wishes.
