Hi

I' making some tests with 30 day trial, one kinect v2 and one ps move controller.
I' doing tennis-like motions (slow speed, because of 30fps kinect limitation).
The problem is ps move controller seems to rotate the hand bone (I understand this is by design),
but I'm not seeing rotation of forearm. Rotating the hand should rotate forearm and
at certain points upper arm too right?
Animation seems just to rotate hand bone (as expected), but almost no rotation on parent bones,
ending with weird forearm/hand poses.
Perhaps I'm missing something.

Hello
Yes, this is the current limitation - hand rotation obtained with PS Move is only applied to a hand joint. We'll consider improving this in future versions.

Thanks for the reply.
Except this I really like output animations quality created from ipisoft. (coming from kinect v2).

One more... Did you already ordered realsense D4XX depth sensors ?
Judging only from specs (almost double resolution and 90fps), it seems a game changer for creating depth camera-based motion capture.

We've already got Intel D415 cameras and made some testing. Unfortunately, actual quality of depth data produced by new Intel cameras is (much) lower compared to Kinect v2 (if you're interested - read this discussion for example). So it does not look as a game changer at this stage. Maybe, they will manage to improve the quality later.
