Sometimes the board or light marker calibration won't give me a perfectly matching result.

In Mocap Studio's "Scene" tab, there are camera movement buttons to guide the cameras to a better initial position or for manual correction. But pressing these buttons switches the free viewport camera to the currently manipulated camera's pose. Now I'm no longer able to see how far I'll have to move e.g. back or forth for a nice match.

If it were possible to stay in the current viewport position and use the joint transforms ("Select, "Move" and "Rotate") for cameras as well, this would make it a lot easier.

Also, being able to type in and copy/paste numerical values for camera and bone transforms would be nice.

Cheers,
Michael

We do not put much effort in development of editing tools for cameras because they are intended for occasional use only.
Better to concentrate on improving the quality of calibration video. This is not very hard, but requires some practice. With good video, there is usually no need to set initial camera positions at all as they are detected automatically.
Please read all the tips in our docs carefully:

You may post here links to your videos with failed calibration so I could point you what you have possibly done wrong when recording.
