So I've got 2 kinect V1 plugged in got SDK 1.8 installed ipi recorder 4 says both kinects are ready I have them both plugged into a 3.0 and a 3.1 so there are definitely 2 controllers but when I hit record video I get the insufficient bandwidth message, then initializing then just a black screen on the 2nd camera. I unplugged one of the cameras and just tried the one by itself and I'm still getting these errors but that camera worked fine initially.

Hi
There may compatibility issues between Kinect and USB controller(s). Do you use desktop or laptop? Did you try all available USB ports for connecting?

I figured it out it's because Kinect v1 apparently doesn't like USB 3.0 I had a 2.0 slot at the front of my PC so that's working.

The original Kinect should work with USB 3...I used that configuration for cgi short film projects and vfx for a couple of feature films. But as mentioned above, your specific USB 3 controller chipset might not be compatible.
