Thanks for reporting.
The color does change indeed. However, the controller is in "selected" state which is indicated by a color close to the initial orange.
To return the controller to "normal" state, switch to the Move tool and click anywhere outside this controller.
Sorry for this issue, we will fix it in the next update.
