Ok, I have tried about 20 times to calibrate my room, Changed my camereas, changed the lighting..
The problem that I have is, although I am able to get all green dots from the calibration, but it's impossible for me to get the scale right across the three cameras I have.
It just doesn't line up correctly, I have tried measuring the distance of the cameras off the floor, and the cameras distance from each other as well as measuring myself.

Can someone please take a look at the calibration video I made, as well as the results I am getting and let me know where I am going wrong.
I am really interested in getting this to work, because it will save me a lot of time, but at the moment, I am thinking I will need to cut my losses.

My height is roughly 1.81
Camera heights off floor is:

camera 1 is 1.8
camera 2 is 2.15
camera 3 is 2.04

Here are links to my calibration video, filmed using 3x ps3 cameras at 640 x 480 30fps

I am currently downloading your vids. I have constant success in shooting my calibration video and I outlined my techniques in this post:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=948

Can you also post a screen shot of your scene and calibration tab?

Hi, thanks a lot for looking at it for me, it makes me feel better at least to know that a fresh set of eyes will be going over it.

The last file I linked is actually my scene calibration .XML file you should be able to load in and you can see exactly how I have hte scene set up.

I downloaded the files and extracted them but it seems to be corrupted. Are you using MPEG format? Its much smaller size if you use this.

I think I wont be able to make use of this. Anyway bring up the screen shot of your DMC and reupload your calibration video but this time try not to partition it into different parts.

Hi guys, Ok, I have been still trying to sort this out, but nomatter what I do, I still cant get it to propperly scale all three cameras to match the body.

I remade my calibration video here, so that it can be easily downloadable, also included a VERY simple action to track, as well as my scene, how I have gotten it so far, which you should be able to load and see how I set the cameras up.

Once again, any help with this would be great, still interested in getting this to work.

Here are the links to the NEW files,

Your calibration video is more or less OK.

Here is the result:

One of the problems is that you have too little space. As a consequence, in your calibration video you move the marker in very little area just before you. Calibration accuracy is reduced if you do not cover a large area.

I recommend that you use a bigger room.

Michael, thanks a lot for looking at this for me, I was hoping I could get things working for me set up as they are (even though they are limited)
You get better results than I did, I understand that the lighting is not exactly perfect also, Oh well, I will try the cameras set up in a bigger room and try again.

Once again, thank you.

Here is the result for your second video:

http://www.ipisoft.com/downloads/video/ ... 22_RAW.zip

The main problem here is lighting. You have a very strong light coming from the left, so that shadows on the body are very noticeable. I recommend that you set up softer light if possible.

Oh, even better results, I applied the smooth, and it took away some of the jitter, Yes, I can see now that the lighting needs to be much softer, It's hard to balance getting good lighting withougt losing the detail and not adding unwanted shadows.

Thanks once again for stepping in, it gives me hope that I can get it implemented in my curent setup, with some tweaks. :)
