Ah, mystery solved! (Hopefully.)

Thanks for looking into this. Just curious but are there any advantages to the 'newer' PS3 Eye camera over the pervious version? (Not that I'm thinking of upgrading.) :)

We have tested with 'newer' PS3 Eye camera only remotely (via e-mail). As far as we know 'newer' revision has integrated chip for both image processing and USB staff, meanwhile 'previous' revision has two separated chips - one for image processing and the other for USB communication. Likely there is no valuable difference between revisions in terms of image and optic quality.
