Support for action cameras (or any standalone camcorders) will be included in iPi Recorder v4 which is to be released this spring.

Cool, can't wait to see the improvements for V4!

Any way to prelease some tid bits on it, small road map of updates maybe when someone at iPiSoft gets time?

That's cool!

I have an older GoPro but not planning to buy more because of the cost. However, I could consider some of the cheaper alternatives if they worked with iPi.

(Actually, I'm still totally fine with the multiple Kinect 2 sensors for now. Hoping to get three up and running as soon as I replace the motherboard in my old workstation.) :)

Keep up the great work, Team iPi Soft!

I am figuring they want to try to expand the available capture volume for larger studio area use by implementing the use of higher resolution cams, but yeah, the cost can be higher for them.

I am figuring they want to keep any tid bits under wraps until its release date, I hope the upgrades are surprising though, even if still using Kinects, or PS Eyes :)

Also hope it doesn't force anyone to upgrade their graphics card for use with PS Eyes, or other RGB cams, as they are still ridiculously priced at the moment, IMO anyway.
