Pretty fun !

On the second one, we can see the mocap better, it's looking pretty good !

thanks man, tonight im going to put the final tweaks.like adding more contact where the character hits with the sword, put some slow mo inbetween the cuts for added drama, etc etc. :)

Very nice! Especially for the first try!
We are very grateful to you for the work done!
Stuckon3d, may we use these videos in our gallery page?

Hi Andrew,
of course you can, but I'm going to go back to my tracking session and refine the end part of that motion, now that i know that i can repose the character and track backward. Also, is there an official manual online other than the two youtube videos tutorials? The more i know the better my tracking will be and the videos i can create. :)

Thanks,

Stuckon3d

PS: My iclone sample is almost done as well, with better camera angles that show off the mocap much better. So if you want to post what i have already and then replace it with the newer stuff, you can do that too. :)

I don't remember where, probably in the forums, you have a long and very detailed explanation by greenlaw on setting eveything up ; you also have builtin help in ipi Desktop in Help -> Contents, it contains most basic infos but I think some things may be a little outdated.

What I've posted is a bit scattered around, but there was a good document posted by another user. I don't have the link handy but I think you can find it in the Tutorials forum.

Just looked and it's here: http://www.ipisoft.com/support.php

It's called A MoCap tutorial by Ian Chisholm. From what I recall, it is pretty informative but keep in mind that was done quite a while ago and some of it may be outdated by now.

There are also the two new slideshows by iPi Software that have more current information. The links are here:

New guides on scene setup and calibration

I've been putting together my own document but it's taking a long time. Sorry. I'm going to be working on my iPi project pretty soon again, so I'll try to post it in during that time.
