Using 2 ms kinects duct taped onto photo tripod.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWBqXKPRnmg - ipisoft scene video in Motionbuilder (its my first mocap try).
Spoiler, videos below don't have ipisoft mocap yet. That's just my story.

I'm working on everything related to NPC creation for Second Life, since they get pathfinding released soon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... JOG4#t=19s - Video where i've managed to script tool that animates prims (they have no link hierarchy and animation capabilities) with BVH files. Took me 3 months lol.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYLO3XppXHI - This is video demonstrates basic sword combat mechanics.

I'm kinda stuck with it until props tracking is released, since I was going to replace all keyframed animations with ipisoft mocap. Thats a whole lot of work if I have to keyframe swords all over again.

Михаил, please hurry, я в вас верю c:

I don't know what program you're using, but can't you just attach a bone to the sword and attach that bone to your hand? There's a few shortcuts, but i do agree that weapon tracking would be nice.

Yes, props tracking will definitely come in handy here. I'm looking forward to that too.

In the meantime, you can probably do a convincing job keyframing the wrist rotations or setting up an IK system for the weapon in your animation program--if you recorded RGB data, you can use that as visual reference. I often record a separate video with a regular camera for reference, though the RGB video recorded by the Kinects is probably adequate for visual refererence.

I haven't checked yet but can iPi Studio 2.0 output reference video like 1.0 could? And if so, does it still have the 2GB limit?

Keep posting! I'm very interested in seeing how your project develops. :)
