Hello everyone, here are my Valve biped rig's for people that are working with the source engine, it has all the Valve bones under the biped and you can apply mocap to it and export to the engine really quickly. Recently asked questions: Question : When I go to export its not working only the fingers are moving? Answer : Right click the biped click "unhide all" now it will export the whole bone structure. (note. check the layers tab for the layers the rig holds) ![]() Why do I need this? iPi Soft is great having a .SMD EXPORTER but if you wish to apply more the one capture through motionbuilder or edit the custom keyframes in 3DS MAX this is a more flexible option. Also with 3DS Max's motion mixer you can combine or blend multiple mocap files. Why doesn't this work for "Left for Dead" models? This rig is the standard Male rig for Source 2009 models, left for dead uses a diferent skeleton structure. Biped • Biped limb length must be set manually • Curve editor support with TCB • More 3ds Max tools • Motion capture support: BIP, BVH, CSM • Basic layer support • Keyframed hand & feet IK *************** UPDATE *************** (v2.0) ![]() (Download) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10798900/Produc ... IP_RIG.max (v1.0) Download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10798900/Produc ... d_Male.max Details : Half-Life 2 Episode 2 (source engine 2009) (standard bones) Extension .max If you found this useful please support me by leaving a nice comment! |

Well, I have a lot of character models and looking for a way replace their bone riggs for a character studio biped. To skinning them with the new rigg also. Each bone rigg has little difference in bones and poses. I've seen BIPPY from Geoff Samuels, but this script works with riggs from MotionBuilder, not from Valve games. Thanks |

You should export in 3D MAX Biped-compatible format: http://www.ipisoft.com/en/wiki/index.ph ... _MAX_Biped |
