| Post subject: | A exporter for Blender |
Hello Ipi Team. I´ve a Question about the exporter of the Ipi-Studio. Exist a real chance to build a exporter for blender? I think it has many benefits for Ipi and me ^^". Blender is a free software. And many people use this Software to create 3d movies and games. I use blender too. I think the exporter of "motionBuilder" is similar as the import of bhv files in blender. But the problem is, that the import of the "motionBuilder" set the bhv onto the y-axis (high) in blender. Normally its on the z - axis (high). The problem in Blender is now, if i change the axis manual and clear the object to "Obdata" the export of this file is wrecked. And i must clear to "obData" to use any animation files in a game. Now back to my question: Can ipi or i fix this little problem? Or exist a scriptfile of the exporter of motionBuilder, that i can chance for me? I´ll provide to try that script. best regards Radiac |

Hi, its me again. When the exporter for blender from ipi run in blender (axes problems) then i create a newer and easier tutorial for blender. In the necessary i find out some good methods to import the bhv to a mesh. Regards Radiac |

Can anyone create a new tutorial for blender? I'm starting to really regret buying IPIsoft. I cannot use any imported bvh files for my characters or even a simple rig, or even a duplicated rig from bhv from ipi! How am i meant to use this software????? |

What version of Blender do you use? We will check this problem and will try to fix it. In the mean while, can you use older version of Blender (2.57.1) as a temporary workaround? |

For now im using 3ds max for the work around for the moment just to understand how things are and its great with no issues(using max 2013 trial). Just for now though. I cannot wait to go back to blender but 3ds max is better hands down just for animation. blender 2.62 I'm using and i asked help on Blender Mirc without success. Thanks so much for replying back to this thread. I really appreciate the support. |

Im using blender 2.63 and same issues by the way. And why is there a lot more keyframes in blender then Max. Most animations have more then 300 while max is under 90 keyframes? |
