Thank you for your product – it’s amazing and will change animation and mocap forever. Question: After I import the animation into Maya I need to reorient the start point of the animation to play…how do I specify that the root translation is to be relative (in other words, I can grab the character and skeleton and move, rotate and scale it to another position and have it play without getting screwed up). I realize this is a bit more of a Maya thing, but this has to be a pretty common thing… Thanks for your support and your amazing work on this… I had an animation in 20 minutes…after booting up. |

I'm not sure about Maya, but in a lot of packages creating an empty or null and then making the rig a child of that will allow you to do what you are asking. You then just move/rotate/scale the null/empty. |

Ok That makes sense.. niosop wrote: I'm not sure about Maya, but in a lot of packages creating an empty or null and then making the rig a child of that will allow you to do what you are asking. You then just move/rotate/scale the null/empty.

Hey Batterms I am having huge problems even getting my animations into Maya, can you please describe your workflow? If you are using Human IK, can you explain what scale you set your scene to? I am having tons of scaling issues with retargetting in Human IK! |
