I see the Animeeple site has been closed and the software is no longer available. Does anyone know where to pick up the latest release version along with the motion capture files?

Try contacting the developers. I don't know if they can help you but they did send out a special 'Animeeple Forever' version to users who purchased the FBX plug-in.

Or you can try Webanimate. I haven't used it but it's supposed to be pretty good. At least two users here have said they got good results with it. I think for now it's free to use, and in the future you just pay for final exports.
