I've got a 10 minute mocap file i've been trying to export to fbx from ipi. When exported the file size ends up at 22.4mb and won't open in any program. I've tried saving smaller takes and it exports and loads just fine. Is there a frame cap, file cap I'm not aware of? I've also exported to several different FBX versions to see if it helped.

Possibly a timeline frame limit in the 3D editor? What editor(s) are being used?

When an fbx file is imported, it usually asks in a dialogue box an option to fill timeline, check that if not already ticked.

60 fps x 60 secs is 3,600 frames x 10 min = 36,000 or should be, I would think any 3D editor would handle that, although I can't say I have ever tried that large.

Total frames would usually be cut in half on import to most 3D editors due to default speed being 30 fps, but is changeable in most after import.

Is it that it would not import, or was trying to?

Maybe machine is slow, or minimal RAM 4G?

May just take a while to import fully.

I found out the 3ds max doesn't like to deal with high frame values 10,000+, so best to just break up your take into "takes" as separate files.
