Hi Nik,

Did you try opening as part of a scene in lightwave?

Or did you try to import the rig as a FBX with the animation on it.

Or did you try to import the mesh and the animation?

Have you tried the BVH option for lightwave?

It may be possible to apply BVH directly to your rigg in Lightwave.

(because the naming is the same)

I think Greenlaw is right, Because I have seen that in Motion Builder (namespaces)

I will try another way tonigh and maybee trade some test files with you on skype.

My skype name is joe.mcpeek (Joe Future)

i think i've tried pretty much every combination...... finally success.
using animeeple to retarget, i was having problems with the knees\legs always being bent after.
then i discovered the "fix feet" button was on. disable this now all is fine. my pipeline.

- ipisoft export a bvh (any flavour)

- animeeple load my character fbx (from lightwave), import the ipisoft bvh, turn off "fix feet" and export as collada

- import collada file into lightwave, delete any unneeded nulls\bones, rename character object so it matches the character name in the original lightwave scene and save as a lightwave scene.

- clear scene and load original lightwave rigged character, do a "load from scene" with merge motions enable

all done :)

am a happy bunny now.

thanks for your help guys. am hoping that if the namespace thing gets fixed i can cut out animeeple in the future.
