That's because in your video you positioned current frame well ahead of all previously tracked frames, and there were some empty frames right before current frame. The software trimmed region of interest to avoid gaps.

Quick test, and yup, I see, you're quite right. If I continue tracking from within an already tracked frame then the roi does not trim itself to that point.

Still gotta say I prefer the old behaviour in this regard, most especially it jumping back to the last tracked frame to continue tracking.

Another vote to keep the original behaviour please. If you want to do something that's considered "helpful" then how about setting up a new "take" but don't mess around with MY chosen ROI thanks!
