EDIT: I just unplugged one monitor, it never prompted the dialog as to using multiple GPU's so it looks like it's just the monitor detection that's being interpreted instead of the number of GPU's. Anyway, trivial issue for you to fix and no harm either way.

I would just like to report that I've now installed a second gtx 660 and have got the 1.6 speed boost predicted by the user guide. I just love it when things happen the way they're supposed to!
