Ah, I see. Yeah, that seems to be the nature of Kinect capture with either generation. The floor tends to 'eat' the bottom of the feet.

think adjusting the floor height a little lower should minimize this issue.
However, my own solution has been to wear slightly bulky shoes or boots, that have a thicker sole. I usually wear a pair comfortable walking shoes with very thick soles that work perfectly for capture, and sometimes I wear these 'ug-style' boots, which are very soft and pliable for full mobility, and the extra bulk makes them easy to track.
BTW, I haven't tested the floor height idea above because my 'bigger shoes' solution has worked well for a couple of year. But now that I'm thinking about it, I should check if adjusting the floor height actually makes a difference.
