Good to hear, I knew you would get it and yeah, they should stay connected without issue now on every load of the iPi Recorder just as on Win 7.

It does seem to take Win 10 a bit longer to make the full solid light connection than I remember on Win 7, but they do connect consistently.

Just wondering if you are running them through a USB 3.0 port along side if the Kv2 or had to use a USB 2.0 port for the dongle?

Oh, no...only tested the Moves with USB 2.0 last night. I can check it out later this weekend...it's not necessary but I'm curious too.

Folks I still need help. This error won't go no matter what dongle I use: INCLUDING bt211.

"Please connect the PS Move controller through USB"

Bad usb cable? I ask that because why does it still charge the ps move controller, but it will not sync?
Please any answers? Are there such thing as cables that will not carry data but only carry power?

That's really odd. Since you're on Windows 7, it really should be easy and straightforward. I only had the previously mentioned issues because of the Windows 10 upgraded.

Sorry, I'm not sure if you mentioned it but have you tried the official drivers for the BT adapters you're trying to use? If a CD did not come with the devices, you should be able to download them from the manufacturer's website. In fact, a download from the website may contain a more current driver package.

Before you start, I would recommend removing any and all Bluetooth adapters drivers you have currently installed. Having multiple drivers might be creating a conflict. Also note that with Windows 7, you shouldn't need to install the MotioninJoy drivers--if you've installed MiJ, try uninstalling it before continuing with the 'proper' drivers.

Just to be sure, try running CCleaner's registry cleaner after you uninstalled any and all drivers before doing a clean install. You may need to run it a few times.

The reason I'm mentioning this is that I recently had a problem getting my computers to use an update of my render farm software--for some reason, the client software for each would not properly write it's own config files. This only got fixed after I uninstalled the software AND ran the registry cleaner before reinstalling the client software. Everything worked perfectly after that. My feeling is that there remained conflicting data in the registry from an older version of the software.

Regarding the USB 2.0 cable, have you tried a different USB 2.0 cable? If one doesn't seem to work, try another. There's nothing special about the PS Move USB cable--it's just your standard USB cable with a mini connector. My guess is that there is nothing wrong with the cable you have but since it's a commonly available cable, you should try another.

Sorry if this all sounds too obvious. I just want to get these suggestions out of the way before looking deeper into the problem.

While on the subject of cables, I should point out that there are differences between USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 cables, so make sure you are using a USB 2.0 cable. Unfortunately, not all USB 1.1 cables are clearly marked, especially if they're old. However, most USB 2.0 cables, should be marked as such along the length of the cable.

Regarding differences between USB 2.0 and 3.0, most USB 2.0 cables have a white piece of plastic inside the plug, and USB 3.0 have a blue piece, but technically a USB 3.0 cable should be backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. Just to be certain it's working though, make sure you try a USB 2.0 cable for the adapter.

I don't know if this really matters for a Bluetooth adapter but it might.

Are these Sony Playstation Moves or some knock-off versions?

You mentioned the charger was a China knock-off, or was I reading that wrong, just wondering. I don't know if it matters, I never tried a knock-off Move.

Yes, if cable is charging, it will patch, or should, but if you have another, try it.

Also, is the dongle an Asus BT211? There is other brands that use BT211 as a model number, again, just wondering, you just typed bt211.

Are you sure the port you are using on the computer is working, or is this the same port you use to the charger and that works?

It is curious you can't get them to pair on Win 7, as stated if you did install the MiJ tool and load drivers on it, use the tool to remove them again.

How can I use ccleaner to remove all bluetooth drivers so I can start anew? Yes its the asus bt211. I am going to try the uninstall motioninjoy, wipe all bluetooth drivers, re run cd for the first time, route. Also motioninjoy didn't really install into my computer it jujst seems to be a standalone app called ds3tool.

I was actually talking about cleaning the Registry with CCleaner, not uninstalling software, but I guess CCleaner can also uninstall software for you.

The Registry Cleaner is listed under Registry button and the Uninstaller is listed under the Tools button.

You should be able to untinstall it from the regular Windows Program Uninstaller though. I think CCleaner is supposed to do a better job of it but it probably just does the same thing.

If you're asking what it is you need to uninstall, it would be the driver software. It's probably called Renasas USB 3.0 or something like that. Depending on the type of BT adapter or its manufacturer, it could be named something else.

If you can't do it through an uninstaller, you can also uninstall drivers from the device's properties panel. I'm not sure this physically deletes the driver software from your computer but maybe it won't matter so long as it's uninstalled.

DS3 tool is an installer. If you've run the Loader part with the BT adapter selected, then you've installed the MiJ driver for it. If you haven't done anything with the DS3 tool then you probably haven't installed the MiJ driver. As mentioned earlier, if you're still on Windows 7, you shouldn't need this tool. (At least I didn't.)

If you get the device to install and it appears in the device manager as its own BT device listing and 2 objects showing in its drop down list, and the BT icon appearing in notifications side of the task bar, it's installed I would think. (May be hidden if not showing, click arrow to view other icons and drag to taskbar).

The amount of controllers you have connected at once through USB cable will appear in Devices and Printers window, (as Game Controllers), even before pairing, (this will confirm cable is good).

Blue Tooth radio will also appear in Devices and Printers window once installed.

Make sure all services for Bluetooth are set in Services to Automatic. (Especially if the BT settings window won't open from taskbar icon, it may install its properties as Manual triggered).

Type in Start menu search ... services ... and open it from listing that appears.

Find Blue Tooth services, (will show more than one listing), and right click each one at a time if set to something other than Automatic, click properties and change to Automatic, click apply and click Start Service button, then click OK button.
