Post subject:  Ipi Studio and Automation on Azure VM

Hey All,
Is it possible to run Ipi studio with the automation tool on an Azure GPU enabled VM? We are looking to process and export Biomech data and want to streamline the process on cloud.
I spun up a basic GPU VM to test and get an Incompatible hardware error.
Is there any work around or is the program only able to be used on a physical machine?
Thanks

We have not actually tried running our software in the cloud.
Did you install NVIDIA drivers on a VM? I believe you have to choose GRID drivers for DirectX support.

Great Thanks, I will try that and report back if it works.

I was able to get in "working" in an Azure VM with "Tesla M60" GPU instance to open studio using this information: https://serverfault.com/questions/96685 ... erver-2016
So it does open the program and load file (IpiRecorder starts to play recorded videos) but there is not video feed on the screen. There is nothing showing up in the video view feed on iPiRecorder, or iPiStudio. Have you encountered this error? Is this a setting somewhere in the display settings associated with the video drives not allowing anything to show.
Thanks for your help.

You probably need to enable GPU rendering for RDP

Ah Thank you this is a great direction. This did not work, but I think you are on the right track. I will keep testing and reply with the fix if I find it.
