Hi I read that these chips have issues with PS eye VIA VL800 (USB 3.0) VIA VT6212L (USB 2.0) NEC µPD720101 (USB 2.0) Have someone tried PCIE usb card that worked for him and can recommend it (4 ports)? ill buy it Thank you |

In our experience cards based on NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 chips have the best compatibility with various cameras including PS Eye. Note that if you plan to connect 4 PS Eye cameras to a single card then it should have at least 2 chips to utilize cameras at full 60 fps. That is a separate USB controller per each 2 ports/cameras. All multi-chip cards we've seen have similar price tag. You can save some bit by getting 2x 2-port single-chip cards if you have two PCIe slots available. Or get a 4-port single-chip card but stick to a lower frame rate - 30-40 fps looks feasible in this case. |
