I am looking for joysticks for capturing hands and I read that the ps move sometimes had problems because of the magnetometer because some have them but not others (according to the bar code)

So maybe it will be better to buy Nintendo Switch joy cons, will it work better?

The best supported option at the moment is PS Move with model number CECH-ZCM2x (which has a micro-USB port). Although it lacks magnetometer, it has high rate of gyro+accel measurements and provides good accuracy.
The main advantage of JoyCons is their compact size. However, there are issues like short range of reliable data transmission. And data rate is substantially lower than PS Move has, therefore orientation value tends to drift much.
