A word of warning about the current production run of the Maglite Mini.
The Maglite Mini is a small (narrow grip, 7-inches long) version of the Maglite that can convert to 'candle mode'. It's what I've been using for many years for iPi Mocap Studio calibration, and it has always worked well.
Recently, I replaced my old Maglite Mini with a new one because the battery had gone bad and damaged the device. The newer Mini appears identical to the old one, but I discovered that the company switched to a lower profile bulb. The Mini still works in 'candle mode' but the angle of illumination has been reduced compared to what I had with the the longer bulb in the older model.
In short, it's still useable for calibration, but you will need to be more careful with keeping the light visible to all cameras or sensors. Tilt to away slightly, and the light is easily occluded by the edge of the 'candle' grip.
I think I still have my damaged Maglite Mini and intend to switch out to its longer bulb. I haven't checked yet, but I imagine the longer replacement bulb can be purchased from a third party. (I just checked and, yes, it is available. Think I'll order some for backup.)
Just felt this was worth mentioning. Hope this helps.
