I'm thinking about buying a HP ProDesk 600 G3 Mini or something similar, and hooking up a 1070 to it with an external m.2 to pcie 3.0 cable. I read that ipisoft's performance is mostly gpu, so the cpu (quadcore but single threads) just needs to be fast enough to not bottleneck the gpu, right? The unit has enough 3.1 ports for the 2 kinekt v2's that I'm using, so is this a good choice? specs: Intel Quad Core i5-6500T 3.1GHz, 16GB DDR4 RAM and yes the external cable I'm using should let me hook up a stronger powersupply to power the gpu |

actually nevermind, I read that ipisoft recorder isn't that gpu intensive so I think building a mini pc with a 5600g or an apu of that caliber should be enough. Then I can send over the results from recorder to my more powerful computer that has mocap studio |
