Post subject:  Real time motion capture question

Good day,

We have been testing iPi Mocap with the 30 day trial option using a kinect camera (version 1) with Unity 2021 to broadcast in real time.

Is there any way to reduce the jitter that occurs in the movement of the 3D model with a single camera? Our 3D model has too much "vibration". We've tried calibration, too, but didn't find the option in iPi Studio with a single device.

Moreover, in the event that our capture scenario is outdoors. How can we reduce errors due to daylighting?

Thank you very much for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Hello Yerai,

What particular model of Kinect camera do you use? (Kinect v1, Kinect 2, Azure Kinect)

The kinect is v1.

Thanks for your answer.

Oh! I see...

The single Kinect v1 in outdoor conditions cannot provide reasonable good depth data, unfortunately.
You can try Azure Kinect. It should operate better. But I would recommend two Azure Kinect sensors in 180-degrees configuration.

BTW, comprehensive depth sensors comparison can be found here.

Best regards.
