Hi, I haven' t done too much testing yet, but my pipeline uses Motionbuilder as main tool for animation purposes. Exporting MoCap Files from ipi to motionbuilder was not a problem. There is no difference to using bvh-files from other sources in Motionbuilder. Use bvh-export in ipi and import this file into Motionbuilder. In Motionbuilder you have to map some of the nodes by hand in the characterization process because the exported bvh-file doesn't seem to follow the standard MB-naming conventions. But you can extract a new naming template and use this in the future, so you have to do the mapping only once. Next use this new character with the animation from the ipi bvh-file als character-input to your rigged Motionbuilder Character and you're done. Use the motionbuilder tools to clean up the data from ipi if necessary. Fairy |
