Hi all, We are trying out the software and managed to get iPi Studio to generate an animation from a movie (works very nice btw!). Now for the second part we want to import the animation into Maya (2008 or up) but sofar the results are poor. The only format supported by Maya seems to be COLLADA so we exported our anim using that option. Using the OpenCOLLADA importer I can import the .dae file, but Maya only shows the skeleton and not the animation. Using Maya's own COLLADA importer, the results are even worse: all the joints seem to be placed at the origin. Are there people who managed to import a COLLADA file into Maya? Cheers, Maurice |

It seems like you would be better off with using a BVH import script for maya. I haven't tried any of these yet though. http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downl ... e-importer http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downl ... omplete--2 http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downl ... -import--3 |
