My DMC auto updated and the interface surely got a new and better look.

The jitter removal is a major plus!

I have a few questions:

1.) Below the timeline region is another timeline which is labeled take 1. How it is used?

2.) Under Help>Contents shows that it is not yet updated.

3.) If you record video as RAW VIDEO, does that give more accuracy compared to MPEG?

4.) Do the View>Collision objects, Mass Object, Joint Limits, Pose Mismatch have any use now?

This is just an additional markup for timeline, mostly for convenience.
You always have just one Region of Interest, but you can have multiple takes.
Right-click on second timeline track to bring up takes menu.
Takes are useful when you record multiple takes of some motion into one video file. You can have "Take 1", "Take 2" etc.
You can quickly export take by right-clicking on it.

Yes, absolutely. And it saves 50% of USB bandwidth so you can have higher framerate. Currently, raw video is only supported for Sony PS Eye camera.



Yes. These are debug visualizations of various internal data structures. For example, Pose Mismatch shows how good is the contrast between actor and background.

So these are just visual references? There is no need to turn them on? There seem to be no changes or improvements when they are used.

Everything in the "View" menu just turns on/off various visualizations and does not affect tracking.
