| Post subject: | A few questions about the calibration |
Hello, I have some questions about the calibration. I use 3 Sony PS3 Eye cameras. #1 at the height of 2,35m, #2 at 2:41m and #3 at 2,20m in a half circle The distance between #1 and #2 is 2,86. For the calibration I use a small light. All points of the calibration are green and the ground points look very good. But if I look at the Calibration-Tab the values after scaling the cameras are #1 :2,35 #2 :2,30 #3 :1,83 And the distance between #1 and #2 is 2,57. Are these good values? To setup the cameras I use only the ORBIT at the Scene-Tab. The FOV is 75° Do I have to use the other ones, too ? Thanks for your help. Stephan |

Stephan, it looks like that there is some problems with ground plane. Try to scale based on the distance between the cameras, but not at the height of the first one. Then track some motion and investigate are there problems with feet. If possible, could you send video? (nondisclosure is guaranteed) |

Hello Andrew, How can I make the files available? And what files are you needed? Where can I upload these? Best regards Stephan |

Quote: Where can I upload these? There are tons of file hosting services. Megaupload is one of them, free and pretty fast to download once it's there. |

Hi, thanks for the information. Is there a utility to compress my AVI-Files? My files are very big. If I try to convert the AVI-File into wmv, mpg or another format, either the compression is very bad or IPI DMC cannot work with the file. Thanks Stephan |

Don't worry if compressed video does not work in iPi Studio. We will convert it to uncompressed AVI on our side. But please try to preserve the original frame rate if possible. |
