Hi iPi Developer,

i´ve got a Question about the innovation of the full circle recording.

"Cameras can be set up in full circle. Calibration will run correctly even if marker is occluded in some cameras."

Mean that, i can record in 360 degree now? Around the artist?

In few days, i ll start the records for my game. And this update can be very useful. Did i understand it right? And exist a short Picture how i can setup my Scene with full circle and (4 Cameras)?

Regards Radiac :).

My guess is that they mean 360 degrees with a six camera setup. My four camera setup is working well right now, but I'm very curious to see what six will bring to the accuracy of the of the mocap data. I may have to wait a bit though before I can start testing this feature as I don't want to disrupt my current project.

The shoulder tracking should be a HUGE deal. You really need this for realistic arm movements. I can't wait to try this out. The UI improvements sound great; iPi addressed almost everything I asked for there!

Congratulations to the iPi guys on getting this latest version out! I'll let you know later this week how it's working out for me. :)

Hi!

For 6 cameras it is recommended to use 360 degrees setup. But even for 4 cameras you can try to use 360 degrees layout. In both cases it is important to avoid direct "opposition" of any two cameras (when optical axis of one camera is directed to other camera). Also, make sure that some of cameras are placed at 2+ meters height (for correct shoulders tracking).
