Has any one tried this software? Is it worth it to get the pro version? I have 4 PS3 cameras and will get two more when I get a new computer. I think the combination of iPi DMC and Zing Track might make my dreams of doing a full length movie possible. https://zigncreations-com.firstfind.nl/index.php Dale |

I have Zign track 2 Standard. I have not attempted to attach any thing output to a character. but I have had successful facial tracking within the Zign Track application. I tried a few size markers and shades of green, with no luck. The moment I turned on a softbox, I got the application in Zign Track to track with a single camera for all markers. I used one of PS3 Eyes with it. It looks like it's will work for my application. Zign's upgrade policy is pay the difference I think. So I strated with the standard edition. Kevin |

Thanks for the info, I downloaded both Zign Track 2 and Pro. I have facial hair so they don't work well with me. I can only get one of the PS3 cameras to work after downloading the driver from Code Laboratories. It seems I need to pay for mutable cameras drivers. Dale |

I have not tried the pro version. With the non-pro. I found I could use 1 Eye Cam. After installing iPiSoft. I lost the ability to use the Eyes in any application except for iPiSoft. I did this: I installed iPiSoft, then removed the iPiSoft codelabs driver. Installed the codelabs free driver. I am now able to use iPiCapture with 4 cameras And zign track with 1 camera .. have not tested pro. Maybe that will help with multiple cameras in Zign. It's non desctructive. Kevin |

I have Zign Track 2 Standard but could not get it to recognize the eye camera even with the drivers. I used my Canon SX20 and have made about 25 test movies using all kinds of different markers. The sticky colored flat dots would not read. I used bigs ones and small ones, green, red and blue. Then I went to gluing the fuzzy balls on my face. Even the small ones were too big and the program was confused. This method is VERY time-consuming. Next, during the Halloween season, I bought several colors of water-soluable face makeup. Zign didn't like the green or the red, but I got a reading off the blue. My last test was with the blue makeup dots, but the dots were just a hair too big and Zign was trying to read them as 2 markers. I gave up at that point. I may end up contacting the creators for support. I have an animation project I'm working on that I need to finish for Christmas before I start again. |

Jaeba, Are you using a light, I could not get tracking, thinking that the light looked ok. Once I added a single 18watt Flouro, I got perfect tracking. I think it needs a little specularity .. highlights. Kevin |

Actually, yes I was using a light. In fact, I had to try and tone it down because I getting too much light. I did end up with clear, well-lit movies. |

I use this soft in pro version and it's quite good, It does not make evrything, but it's a good base for animation, I use it with a macro script in 3dsmax which is Bonyface. If you whant some explaination, I can give you some advises... |

This is the combination i am working with right now, doing a 5 min 3d film, both working with me with no major problems and results are good enough to be used. made my own rig to apply both facial and body data directly. |

Are you doing the capture at the same time? If so how have attached the camera to the head and pointed to the face? Dale |
