Hello everybody, after a unintentionally break i´m back. On Saturday, i started my second try to get my MotionCapture files for my game. And... it works ;). 103 animations waiting for editting now. Nice work ipi and thanks for the support. Now i´ve a other question. At the moment, i try to get a perfect loopfile of a walkcycle. Bhv-files are not perfect for looping cycles :). Normally i work with blender. I can interpolate the keyframes, but this is not perfect for my cylce. I must do to many manual settings to get a half acceptable result. Ipi Studio has some options for smooth and so on. Exist a possibility to create a cycle with the ipi Studio? Or exist a good Software to create a loopanimation on easy way? I hope you can help me :). I wish a nice day and see ya. |

In Animeeple, for example, you can construct a cycle by importing the motion as a clip applying a Loop Block to it. Here's the tutorial: http://www.animeeple.com/documentation/Loop_Block You can import iPi .bvh data to Animeeple and export the data as .bvh, .fbx, or .dae. I'm not a Blender user but I'm sure these formats can be used in Blender. Generally speaking, you can create loops in 3D apps that have a non-linear editor. Motion Builder, for example, is an excellent tool for this sort of thing. Lightwave 3D can do this too using the built in Motion Mixer tool. I would look at Animeeple first though; it's a decent little program with some powerful features (retargeting works well in Animeeple,) has great support from its developers, and it's free. Hope this helps. G. |

Also in Animeeple is the Treadmill block which zeros the forward motion which might be appropriate for your use I don't know. |
