Hi hi,
Just a couple questions for the developers...

1) Would the Basic 4 camera package also support the Kinect once beta testing is finshed?

2) Would head tracking be implemented in version 1.x, or would that be a version 2.x feature? I'd love to buy a license, but I don't want to find out I have to buy it again for head tracking.

Btw, the software is really great. Just an FYI, I'm having some stability issues with the Kinect recorder, however. The software can cause freezing, and crashes often. Usually, unplugging the Kinect resolves the freezing, but trying to get a good recording can be difficult.
I'm using an ASUS G73JH laptop.
Core i7 720
Windows 7 64-bit
Radeon 5870M

Great job, guys! I'm very impressed.

thanks!
-brian

Yes! Both Basic and Standard edition support Kinect. Meanwhile in beta status.

We really hope that we can implement head tracking in 1.x. But we can't 100% guarantee it. In any case upgrade from 1.x to 2.0 will be significantly cheaper.

Most likely, these issues concern libusb-win32 drivers. Right now we're working to support OpenNI in iPi Recorder. Kinect drivers for OpenNI are more stable. We'll publish update for iPi Recorder in a few days.
