Hello Greenlaw & tonye_eb2!
Sorry for delay in replay. Right now we are in a hurry to release Kinect version in early February. Currently our main focus is robustness of tracking for Kinect. And we perform progress in this direction every day.
As to characteristics of Kinect version.
Pros:
* there is no need in large space, tripods, USB-cables, fast computers for recording, monochromatic clothing, complex camera setup and calibration
* easy to use
* for tested set of motions quality of tracking is comparable with 4 camera version (but we need to perform more tests with the latest version of algorithm)
Cons:
* capture volume is limited by 2x2 meters
* self-occlusion problem (one point of view) thus there is no actual 360-degree freedom
* tracking speed in current implementation is about speed of version for 3-4 cams

We solved issues with the Logitec Pro 9000 by uninstalling all software that came with it, including its control panel. All controls are done inside IpI Recorder. Once the exposure is dropped down a bit, we are able to capture 6 cameras, 640 x 480 @ 60 fps.
How it can be if according to official specification of Logitec Pro 9000 camera it supports only 30 fps?
