Hi folks:

I've started a thread about my experiences of using ipisoft's DMC for dance motion capture:

Why u post a link to a other forum who i must be registrate to answer you?

I only would say that i work also with fast animations.
My Questions to you are, how many cameras are you use?
I work with 4 and lern now what i must do, to become some good results.

It´s important that your set has a perfect scene. If you would more informations, so post it in here :).

Regards Radiac

Ps: 6 Cameras is a good solution ;).

It would be interesting to see the original video and the resulting animation. DMC is sensitive to clothing and I dramatically changed my success with the PS3 cameras by changing to the long black sleeved shirt and short sleeved T shirt and then remembering to check the box that suits this in DMC. Failing to check that box and yes floppy arms all over the place.

That's the great thing about the kinect though, I don't have to dress up to play with it :)

Although occlusion is an issue, I even managed a full 360 degree turn with the Kinect and it tracked it.

I purchased the ipisoft DMC software from DAZ3D, and I needed a web group that wouldn't require registration to read the posts. As far as I know, all web forums require registration to post.

I'll still post technical issues here,

She was wearing a short sleeved black t-shirt over a bright pink long sleeved tight shirt, and I did check the box. She's probably doing more complex movements of her arms as a dancer than most people would for normal movements, and she's also got more flexible joints than normal folks, so I think she's beyond the normal operating envelope of the DMC software.
