Hi there,

is it somehow possible to load a dance video (which was already recorded and exists as a digital video source) and create from that video a mocap file such as .bvh or .fbx, etc ?

thx for any little info

Unfortunately, no. The program wouldn't be able to calibrate the floor plane.

Kodiak is correct. Additionally, you will need multiple and synchronized camera views from the session. (Four or more is recommended for reasonably accurate tracking.)

You also need a clean background plate. This can sometimes be constructed from existing footage if you forget to shoot it, but it's better to have the real footage available at the head of each video.

(It would be nice if you could to load a separate clean video file in Studio that can be used for all video shot during a mocap session. This might help in situations where a clean BG video is missing from the footage or the duration of the clean BG is too short.)
