Before buying it, how does one check if a laptop has the required number of enhanced host controllers. Also, how fast does the write speed need to be on a hard disk in order to support two Kinects?

If laptop has USB 3.0 ports, and also USB 2.0 ports, then most likely it has two different USB controllers.
