When asking whether it could handle dual kinect recording and processing in iPi studio, someone said that the single mechanical drive might bottleneck it. I wasn't exactly sure what a single mechanical drive means, but I think the two laptops I posted above have the dual mechanical hard drive. Would these two laptops be able to handle dual kinect recording and processing. If not I was going to go on the safe side and get an alienware M17 laptop: Intel Core i7 2670QM 2.2GHz (3.1GHz w/Turbo Boost, 6MB Cache) 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (4DIMMS) 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 1 TB RAID 0 (2x 500GB) 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s (2x) Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports (2x) SuperSpeed USB 3.0/2.0 Combo ports (1x) eSATA 3Gb/s + USB 2.0 Combo port(with USB charge function support) If none of these laptops can handle the dual kinect configuration could anyone suggest a laptop that is within the same 1700-1800 dollar price range as these(or less!).
