Hi All, Have captured my motion and tracked it, smoothed it and exported it to the genesis figure for Daz Studio. All is fine except in Daz the figure doesn't really match the Motion capture data that I'm exporting. Have attached a screen grab to help explain my problem. Any thoughts gratefully received. gav http://www.flickr.com/photos/gjcookman/7087618117/ |

I think there is (at least was) a problem with the genesis pelvis bone which was not automatically correctly mapped (see export tab in iPiStudio). I haven't actually done anything using Genesis but another problem with Daz Studio using Victoria has been e.g. the feet position which needs to be corrected for the t-pose (i.e. imported character) - otherwise the resulting animation seems to walk on her toes. This does not necessarily apply to genesis, however, if you've made any changes to the t-pose before exporting, it can have some kind of an effect to the result. |

I've had a similar disappointment with Michael 4 in Daz 3D. The body movements just don't quite match what you get in Ipi. |

I have the same problem, in IPI MOCAP it looks good. But when importing the animation to DAZ STUDIO the arms of the character are widely separated. Have you found the solution? |
