I am thinking off getting a new graphic card. Because the cards which are suggested by ipisoft are not in the UK (similar type). Would this card work fine with the ipi studio: EVGA Nvivdia GTXTi 1GB 192-Bit 3D Ready Graphics Card Product Features Maximum graphic adapter memory: 1024 MB Graphics adapter memory type: GDDR5-SDRAM Memory bus: 192 bit Memory clock speed: 4356 MHz Memory bandwidth (max): 104.5 GB/s Microsoft DirectX 11 support Nvidia CUDA technology Nvidia SLI ready Nvidia 3D Vision Surround ready Microsoft Windows 7 support Technical Details Core Clock: 951 Mhz;Memory Clock: 4356 MHz effective;Shader Clock: 1903 Mhz;CUDA Cores: 192;Bus Type: PCI-E 2.0;Memory Details: 1 Gb GDDR5;Memory Bit Width: 192 bit;Memory Speed: 0.5 ns;Memory Bandwidth: 104.5 Gb/sec.;Texture Fill Rate: 30.4 GT/s |

Hi I suppose you're talking about this model http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1556-KR. Yes, it should be fine for motion tracking. I guess performance will be slightly lower than with the GTX 560 model listed at our site. |

I purchased and fitted 'EVGA Nvivdia GTXTi 1GB 192-Bit 3D Ready Graphics Card' into my desktop today. My goodness what a difference. The card I changed 'Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT' processed 2 kinects in ipi soft studio at between 6 and 7 seconds per frame. With the new card fitted the 2 kinects are process between 1 second and 0.8 seconds per frame. What a difference, the new card is about 6 times faster. To put in the new card I had to change my power supply unit (psu) which was 500w, the new psu is 750w. All seems to be working well :0) |
