Multiple persons support is expected to be released in a few weeks. Watch for updates.

Will this be a version 2 feature or will this be bumped to version 3 and thus require another expensive upgrade? I only recently upgraded to v2 so it would be disappointing to me if it gets pushed to a new major version.

My understanding is this is the final new feature for 2.0 and once it's released, they will moving forward with 3.0 development. Though I imagine we may see a few bug fixes in 2.0 if necessary.

IMO, once they add the multi-actor feature, they've delivered more than originally promised for 2.0. The PS Move option for Head Tracking for example, which has been pretty fantastic. :)

Oh not complaining, just saying it would be disappointing having only recently changed to v2.

Without sight of a public roadmap for features, I wouldn't know what was promised for v2 or v3. It would be nice to know what is expected for versions but commercially not usually what's done. :)

At one time there was a list of 2.0 features with a proposed schedule posted on the main site. I found the list pretty exciting and many of the features were actually released near or on schedule. But multi-actor was late and some people here got quite upset about that, so I'm not surprised that the list went away.

These things happen in software development of course and I didn't mind because iPi Soft delivered many incremental updates for other features during this time, and everything they put into 2.0 has enhanced the workflow experience. Many of the incremental updates were not just bug fixes but direct responses to requests from users, which was pretty cool for those of us currently using Mocap Studio in production.

Anyway, it seems like multi-actor is about to be released. Should be fun. :)

It will be included in v2 (Standard edition) as free update, as was initially announced.
