Hi There

Trying to figure out which graphic card to get.
A bit of research, and they do seem to vary across multiple performance indicators. For example:

Could one assume, for example, the 'texel rate' is the most direct indicator of relative performance between cards for purposes of iPi? Or memory bandwidth, or pixel rate, or another?

Thanks for your advice!

Hi
Indeed, performance comparison is a complex problem. Regarding GPU utilization in iPi Studio, the key characteristics for guidance are the number of computing units and their clock frequency. In NVIDIA terms these are CUDA cores and Shader clock, for AMD - Stream processors and Engine clock. You can use product of these numbers to roughly judge the performance difference between video cards with chipsets of the same manufacturer - NVIDIA or AMD. Don't use them to compare NVIDIA and AMD - it should be done experimentally.
