Can the ipi-recorder be installed and will it work without installing ipisoft? Sort of standalone?

I' ve tried to install ipirecorder, but when the ipirecorder is trying to install, it probably tries to make a connecting to the site...at that moment various sites with irrelevant data are popping up on my screen. Then the installer says that the ipirecorder cant being installed.

reason: when installing trial ipisoft at the same time to, I'm afraid that I run out of time in order to get a good view of the functions and getting it functioned without errors. It looks like a good program, but I want to use the 6 eye, which seems to be tricky to deal with. I just want to be sure that the program I'll buy is a seamless working program.

My system: i7 3770k, asus p8v77 pro motherboard with onboard graphic, win 7 64 bits, not yet an graphic-card but coming this week. Enough internal Gb, anda fast HHD.

Absolutely, you can install iPi Recorder on any number of machines without the need for iPi Mocap Studio to be installed too. For example, you can use a laptop for recording because of its mobility, and do processing in Studio on a powerful desktop.

Depending on your choice of options to install, the installation program of iPi Recorder may download some stuff like .NET Framework 4 or Kinect SDK. But it does not open any websites in a browser. Also, after installation, iPi Recorder uses an Internet connection (if available) once a day to automatically check for updates. That's it - no other network related activity.
You can attach screenshots of what are you getting during installation, so we can do anything other then blind guess on your situation.

I have noticed that the recorder install sees my system as a win32 system, while its an win 7 64 bits system...maybe thats the problem?
Further, the popped up site are an attempt of trying to solve the problem with search on tagwords by Babylonsearch, I believe.
But maybe ther is something else going on

So, if this is the case, is there a version of ipirecorder that can work with 64 bits windows 7?

FYI, the computer I currently use iPi Recorder and iPi Studio is running under Windows 7 x64. Just to be clear, iPi DMC should run on either 32-bit or 64-bit computers but it runs in x32-bit mode under Windows 7 x64, which is normal.

Sorry, I'm not sure what the errors you're seeing mean. Hopefully somebody from iPi Soft can help soon.

It seems to me that maybe the antivirus-program is denying the install of ipirecorder.
If no more suggetions come in by the forum then I ll try this week to install ipirecorder again with blocked antivirusprogram.

I found that your problem is most probably related to bug in ClickOnce not loving some "special" characters in paths:

And you have an ampersand in your username, which is part of the installation path (C:\Users\<username\...). You should install under another user without an ampersand.


Correction. Recorder v2 already runs in 64-bit mode on Win x64.
