Is anyone else going crazy waiting for the update? Really excited to see some head tracking and hopefully wrist tracking. Really liking the studio software now that I've got the dual kinect stuff worked out. I'm having some issue with calibration on the sony cam setup though... still working at it. I wish it was as simple as the kinect to calibrate. |

Yes, I'm getting excited about this too. We've been very busy setting up the shots for our next Brudders movie and we plan to start capturing character motions as soon as the next release of iPi DMC comes out. The lack of head motion capture was a minor issue when we did our last movie (Happy Box) but we can definitely use this feature in our next one. :) G. |

I ran a quick test using some existing Recorder data. Head tracking seems to be working! As mentioned in the build notes, this current version doesn't track y rotation (heading) but it does do x (pitch) and z (bank). For me, anyway, that's fine--what I can use right now is x for capturing 'head bobbing' but also having z is even better! Tip: In this first test, I got a few pops in the head motion with Configurable Jitter Removal set at 0 (first notch.) Dialing CJR up to 2 (middle notch) removed these pops. Great work guys! This is pretty exciting stuff! It seems like overall tracking is better too but since the build notes don't mention it, that's probably just my imagination. :p G. |

hmm... y rotation is quite important. Ipisoft, is there a chance this will get implemented? possibly along with hand/wrist tracking? |
