Hi fullas,

We are having a problem with camera orders with a 4 ps eye setup.
Our cameras are permanently placed on the walls of our studio and we have a pretty rock solid calibration file that we have saved away. Problem is when we plug the usb cables back in the same slots as they were before the ordering seems to be different every time and we have to recalibrate. Is there a way to switch the order of the cameras in the setup stage of ipi recorder? If not can I put this in as a request for future releases.

BTW this is mentioned in the User's Guide, and also there is a text hint in the Setup stage itself ;)

Ahhh. Bingo!!! Thanks very much for your reply... If all else fails, read the instructions I suppose.

And if you already recorded some actions and only realize afterwards that the cameras were in wrong order, you should be able to manually edit the scene -file and change the order of the cameras accordingly. It has saved me from recalibrating a few times. Another example where you can utilize this method is if you have, e.g. six cameras and their calibration but wish only to use 4-5 cameras (in order to cover a larger area, or if you have to use a light source which cannot be hidden from some of the cameras).

N.B. I have only tried this with iPiStudio v1.
