Hi, i have done a capture with 2 kinect. I hate sucessly done my calibration scene and now i am trying to do my first motion capture. But, once i import my capture in ipi, i can only see one pointcloud at the time. I i click camera one, i see the front point cloud, if i click the second i see the back. But in the tutorial i watched the guy have both a the same time. Im i missing someting. Also, is it possible to only export the pointcloud to maya for animation reference ? That could be a great too not for mation capture but for 3d animation reference. Thks, Fred |

Thanks i can now see it :) Do you plan to implement this feature (the pointcloud export) ? That could be such an add-on to the software. Been able to do 3d Referencement for animator is a hudge deal. From what i see, that could even work for animal too. (Wich take wuite more time too animate) Another question, I have seen on the website that the best support so far is with the ps eye. I consider to buy 2 prime camera (http://www.primesense.com/solutions/sensor/). I think they will work on your software. But will i get aswell the porformance increse from the hardware ? Tanks again, Fred |

It may be recognized by iPi Recorder as ASUS Xtion Live, as it works through the same OpenNI API and uses the same PrimeSense sensor (though probably newer revision of it). But there is no guarantee, as we have not tested it yet. We have found this model recently and are just planning to order one item for testing. So we cannot say nothing about hardware performance. |

Ok thanks for the reference. I hope you will consider to implement it in your software because you can use 2 kinect. Wich give you full 360 degree reference. Thanks ! |

PrimeSense Carmine sensors indeed work with previous versions recognized as ASUS Xtion Live. Now we have tested them ourselves and introduce official support in iPi Recorder 2.1.4.21. |
