At home I have a crappy ATI card and a 5 year old computer that gives me 2 sec/frame.

At my work they just got me a new computer
here are the specs.
2 processors
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz, 2668 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz, 2668 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 48.0 GB
Total Physical Memory 48.0 GB
video card GefForce GTX 680

Anybody else having issues with this video card?

IPI mocap studio is taking 9 seconds to solve a frame with the GTX 680
I had the same kind of problem with a k5000 on this same PC hardware.
I think these 2 cards have the same Kepler architecture.

On a different machine (a bootcamped Mac) I have used an nvidia quad4000 and IPI M. S. took 0.6 seconds per frame to solve the same file.

Did you have a chance to test the kepler architecture?
Could it be a cpu problem instead of a gpu problem?

Aldo

Is the lack of performance with the GTX 680 100% confirmed by ipi?

I was suggesting this card as part of our processing machine. If it does indeed lack in performance, it will be totally worthless. I would like to know if this is indeed true before I suggest sinking 450 dollars into something that is going to prove useless.

On a side note, what does everyone feel is the fastest option currently available?

Possible cause of such pure performance is the presence of the integrated video card. We suggest to check if integrated graphics is present and disable it.

No, no, no!

Among our paid customers we have 41 installations with GTX 680. We're sure that all works fine. Moreover, we have tested iPi Mocap Studio with GTX 670 by ourself.

There is an integrated Graphic card on my machine at work, and I tried to get IT to look into the problem.
The integrated card is not active( or at least we did not see any sign on the bios or the system properties).
Will try to look into it myself as soon as I have some downtime.

Ok, good to know. That board looks to be the best bang for the buck at the moment, I will still look to grab one.
