http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/317 ... hSmoothing Is this of relevance for those of us who are looking for better dual kinect options than strapping cell-phone vibrating motors to our kinects? http://www.codeproject.com/KB/audio-vid ... 74/app.JPG

The proposed technique is intended mainly to improve quality of the single Kinect's data. It won't solve interference problems. From this perspective, using ASUS Xtion or PrimeSense carmine sensors is of much purpose - they indeed have much less interference noise compared to Kinect. Pixel filtering provides better shaping the edges of objects, but this barely adds any accuracy for big objects matching we are considering (like the human body). Weighted average of several frames introduces blur effect which is totally bad for motion capture. |

Setting your kinect on top of a vibrating device like a home neck charger will work for eliminating interference. Only one kinect out of the 2 needs to be vibrating. |
